The reason why bad marketer uses deceitful strategy to trap user into buying their product is because they know they can’t win customer respect and loyalty; either by lack of confidence, or by incompetence. The incompetence itself might be raised due to defects of the product, or either by market condition that’s too homogeneous; no room to allow significant differentiation and value addition.

It’s better to stir clear of products marketed in disguise as something else, or using fraudulent tactics in acquiring buyers, because that’s a sign of bad products. Likewise if you have a good product, then don’t market it in a way a bad marketer would. (byms)
